Ingredients Required:
- 1 tablespoon plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon salt, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala spice mix
- 3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic cloves
- 1 cup heavy cream or cooking cream
- 1/2 cup tomato puree or paste
Toppings:
The Cooking Process:
Create a marinade by mixing the yogurt with lemon juice, half of the salt, and garam masala until you achieve a smooth consistency. Add the chicken pieces to this mixture and stir well to ensure each piece is coated evenly. Let this marinate for at least half an hour.
Add the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers and grill them over medium heat until they are browned on all sides. Once done, remove from heat but keep them warm while preparing the sauce.
Create a paste by grinding together fresh ginger and garlic using a mortar and pestle.
Add cream to a frying pan set over medium heat along with your prepared ginger-garlic paste, tomato puree, and remaining salt. Bring this mixture to a boil while stirring continuously then allow it to simmer gently for around ten minutes.
Add your grilled chicken pieces into this creamy sauce mixture; continue simmering everything together for an additional five minutes allowing flavors meld perfectly.
The Final Touch:
This recipe serves four people delightfully!
