As the new academic year unfolds, Miami Schools are addressing increasing student numbers by inaugurating four new institutions equipped with state-of-the-art amenities for primary, middle, and high school students.

Ronald W. Reagan High School: A Modern Educational Hub

The rapidly growing northwestern area of Miami now hosts the newly established Ronald W. Reagan High School. Spanning approximately 20 acres, this institution is designed to cater to contemporary educational needs with its expansive 250,000 square feet of classrooms and laboratories. It also features an auditorium that seats 800 people, a cafeteria accommodating 700 individuals, a library, and a gymnasium. Outdoor facilities include fields for football, softball, soccer, baseball as well as courts for basketball and racquet sports.

An Innovative Academy-Based Model

What sets Ronald W. Reagan High School apart is its academy-based approach to education reform within Miami Schools. Ninth-grade students undergo assessments to identify their interests and strengths before choosing from three specialized academies: Cambridge Academy; Information & Communications Technology Academy; or Classical Arts Academy. These academies boast dedicated facilities while sharing common school resources.

Norma Butler Bossard Elementary: A Comprehensive Learning Environment

The southern region welcomes Norma Butler Bossard Elementary School across a sprawling 7.5-acre campus named in honor of former language arts division head at Miami Schools—Norma Butler Bossard herself!
